Searching for loans like Oplo: how does a credit broker work?
CashLady’s credit broking service is straightforward. By scanning our large and varied panel of lenders, we aim to help you search for a suitable loan while saving you time and protecting your credit score from multiple hard searches.
Here’s how it works.
1. Our online form should take no longer than five minutes to complete; just let us know some basic information, how much money you need to borrow, and how long you’d like to borrow it for. Then, leave the rest to us.
2. In just 60 seconds, we’ll complete a soft search with no impact to your credit score and scan our panel of lenders for a suitable loan based on your financial circumstances.
3. If you’re matched with a loan, you will be redirected to the lender’s website, where you can decide whether you’d like to make a full application.
4. If you do go ahead with the loan, the lender will carry out a creditworthiness assessment, and this will include a hard search or Open Banking. A hard search will remain on your credit file for up to 12 months, and multiple hard searches in a short period of time will harm your credit score.
5. Once the creditworthiness assessment has been completed, the lender will let you know whether you’ve been approved for the loan.
How do I repay my Oplo alternative loan?
Your loan will be repaid in monthly instalments throughout the duration of your chosen loan term. Remember, your repayments will include interest.
When will my money be sent?
It’s important to remember that every lender will have their own payout timescales; however, some could send your money on the same day as your application is approved. Please note that this doesn’t automatically mean that you will be able to access the money right away; the time it takes for the funds to become available in your account will depend on your bank’s policies and procedures.
I can’t afford to make my loan repayments; what should I do?
If you’re finding it difficult to make your monthly repayments, you should contact your lender as soon as you can. They will work with you to support you during this difficult time.
What to do if you’re struggling with money
A number of organisations offer free, confidential advice to anyone concerned about money or debt. If you need someone impartial to talk to, please consider reaching out to StepChange, MoneyHelper, Citizens Advice, or National Debtline.
*Payout timescales vary between lenders. The time it takes for the money to become available in your account will depend on your bank’s policies and procedures.
**If you’re matched with a loan through a search with CashLady and you choose to make a full application, the lender will carry out a creditworthiness assessment. This will include a hard search or Open Banking. Please note that a hard search will remain on your credit file for up to 12 months, and multiple hard searches in a short period of time will harm your credit score.
