The Best Black Friday 2017 Deals

A post-Thanksgiving tradition in the USA since the 1940s, Black Friday only really hit the UK back in 2013. Since then, we have been hooked and the Black Friday 2017 deals look to be the best yet.

Amazon: Black Friday 2017 deals

Amazon was the first retailer to offer Brits Black Friday discounting back in 2010.

For shoppers wanting to take advantage of Black Friday deals from the comfort of their own home, Amazon is a good place to start.

This year, Amazon’s Black “Friday” deals are actually running from 17th – 26th November. Good for those of us who are not organised enough to do all of our shopping in one day.

If you are after a Kindle Paperwhite, these are currently reduced from £109.99 to £79.99. Amazon’s Echo is also discounted to £69.99, down from £89.99.

Shoppers can also save money on everything from dishwasher tablets to perfume. If Santa needs a little help this year, a wide range of toys are also on sale.

If you’re looking for a new TV to watch your Christmas films on, Amazon is also offering up some big discounts on televisions.

Argos Black Friday Deals

Argos’ Black Friday 2017 deals have already started. Those looking for a cordless vacuum cleaner can pick up the Dyson V6 Absolute Handstick at Argos for less than half price, at £229.99.

The retailer is also offering a Samsung 49 inch curved 4K TV for £499.

Those who want to get out and about over the Christmas period (or make themselves feel bad for not getting out and about) can save £20 on the Fitbit Blaze Smartwatch at Argos, which is currently selling for £129.99.

Boots Black Friday Deals

If you need some beauty products, now could be the time to head to this high street chemist.

Discounting has already started. When we checked, a Mark Hill Salon Professional Hairdryer could be purchased for £29.99 (reduced from £59.99) and the Estée Lauder Revitalize Supreme gift set was £27.50, down from £55.

Currys PC World Black Friday Deals

Black Friday 2017 deals have already begun for the electrical retailer, with ‘Black Tag’ deals on various products.

Those looking for a washing machine can save £250 on the Samsung 8kg ecobubble, which is now on sale for £349.

The retailer is also offering up to 30% discounts on Canon cameras and up to 40% off headphones, speakers and soundbars.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 is available from £299 (up to £300 worth of savings).

The Dyson V6 Animal Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is currently half price at Currys PC World, at £184.

If you’re looking to stock up on some Champagne for Christmas, Lidl is offering a bottle of Comte de Senneval champagne for £8.99.

The no-frills supermarket chain is also offering discounts on various other items, including Serrano ham and a slow cooker.

Deals will reportedly launch in Lidl’s stores on Thursday 23 November.

Morrisons on Black Friday

Looking for an advent calendar with a difference? Morrisons is reportedly selling a gin advent calendar for £60 and a beer version for £30.

The supermarket chain is also offering various deals on food and drink, including 1kg of smoked salmon for £20 and a 6-7kg piece of Serrano ham for £30 (only available in store).

If you are looking for something to buy the man in your life, Morrisons is also selling a Stanley 48-piece screwdriver set for £15 (again, this is in store only).

Take a look at their website for more deals.

Pets at Home Black Friday Deals

If you are looking for a present for the furry members of your family, then look no further than Pets at Home’s Black Friday 2017 deals.

Discounting will begin on 24 November and will reportedly include a Grand Climber Cat Activity Centre for just over £60 and a Wainwright’s Adventurer Scallop Dog Bed for £30.

Black Friday 2017 deals: Check you are getting a bargain

Just because a retailer is offering you a 50% discount, it doesn’t mean that you can’t get your purchase cheaper elsewhere. Do your research and make sure that you are getting the best deal.

Most importantly, give yourself a budget and stick to it. Think about what you need and ask yourself whether you can afford it. Black Friday deals are not worth getting into debt over.
